 This is an on-site, contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, serving the healthcare needs of our community.

As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will provide high-quality care to patients, diagnosing and treating conditions related to the digestive system. Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient consultations and evaluations
  • Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
  • Perform endoscopic procedures and biopsies
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
  • Experience in a clinical setting, with expertise in gastroenterology
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care.

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-5p), 2 weeks per month

Call Requirement: Nights and 24-hour weekends

Setting: Clinic and inpatient

Patient Volume: 0-8 inpatients, up to 20 outpatients per day

General GI procedures required

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
