This contract position is based on-site in Huntley, offering a unique chance to make a significant impact in the Medical Practice industry.

As a Gastroenterologist, you will be integral to our healthcare team, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our community. This role involves diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal disorders while collaborating closely with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient consultations and physical examinations
• Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders
• Perform endoscopic procedures as required
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Provide patient education on gastrointestinal health and wellness
• Stay updated with the latest developments in gastroenterology
• Participate in continuous professional development and training

Requirements

• MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in gastroenterology
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: 7 on/7 off

Call shifts available, but not required

Setting: Inpatient

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Daily Volume: 4 procedures and 7 consults at one location, 2-3 procedures and 4-5 consults at other locations

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
