Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal issues
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Stay updated with advancements in gastroenterology and medical practices
  • Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health and treatment options
  • Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • State medical license to practice in Richmond
  • Experience in gastroenterology or related field is preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Schedule: 7a-7a call shifts, specific dates

Setting: Inpatient

Patient Census: 3 per day

Duties: Inpatient and ER consults

EUS and ERCP required

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
