As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, working closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients
• Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
• Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and medical practices
• Participate in on-call duties as required

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Gastroenterology
• Current medical license to practice in the state
• Experience in a clinical setting as a Gastroenterologist
• Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Level II trauma

Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts, 4-5 days per week

1:8 call rotation

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Daily Volume: 12-18 per day

Full scope of GI cases

ERCP and EUS preferred

Support Staff: APPs, Hospitalist, on-call operator, IR

EMR: Meditech and Provation

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
