 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality surgical care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.

As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a crucial role in delivering surgical services, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position allows you to utilize your skills in various surgical specialties while contributing to our mission of excellence in patient care. 

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgical procedures in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Trauma Surgery
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
• Collaborate with surgical teams to develop and implement treatment plans
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
• Participate in surgical rounds and case discussions
• Adhere to safety and compliance standards in all surgical practices
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in surgical techniques and practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Florida
• Associate level experience in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Trauma Surgery
• Strong surgical skills and a commitment to patient care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred

Flexible Schedule: 8-hour shifts

Setting: 216-bed hospital

Patient Census: 10 per shift

Must be board-certified
