As a Locum MD/DO in Hematology Oncology, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Perform necessary diagnostic procedures and interpret results
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans
- Stay updated with advancements in hematology and oncology practices
- Document patient encounters accurately and timely in medical records
- Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of Massachusetts
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in managing hematologic malignancies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
- Prior experience in a locum tenens role is a plus
Schedule: Beeper call in 7-day stretches (Monday-Sunday)
Patient Volume: 2 per shift
Patient Population: Pediatrics
Hematology Oncology caseload
Must be board-certified
