As a Locum Hematology Oncology physician, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care while managing various treatment protocols and patient follow-ups. Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret results
• Provide ongoing management and support for patients undergoing treatment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
• Stay current with advancements in hematology oncology practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology Oncology
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge in hematology oncology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
• Previous experience in a locum or contract role is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)

Call: 4 days per month, including 2 weekend days

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Volume: 18-20 per day

Hematology/medical oncology split

Support Staff: Hematologist Oncologists, Radiation Oncologist, APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
