This contract position is primarily on-site, offering a unique opportunity to provide exceptional care in a community-focused medical practice within the healthcare industry.
As a Locum MD/DO in Hematology Oncology, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories
- Diagnose and treat various hematological and oncological conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and procedures
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Stay updated on advancements in hematology and oncology
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to clinical decision-making
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Oregon
- Experience in hematology oncology is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population with compassion
Schedule: 4 clinical days and 1 admin day per week
Call Requirement: Every 4th week, critical lab calls and occasional symptomatic patient call
Patient Volume: 13-15 per day, including 2 new consults
Strong clinical support, including Medical Oncologist, NPs, RNs, and a social worker
Must be board-certified
