This on-site contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic medical practice environment, providing critical care and support to patients dealing with hematological and oncological conditions.

As a Locum Hematology Oncology physician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of improving patient outcomes and ensuring the best possible care. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with hematological and oncological conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide consultations and follow-up care for patients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care
  • Stay current with advancements in hematology and oncology
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment options and care plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)

No night or weekend coverage required

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Daily Volume: 15 patients

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
