This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care within the Medical Practice industry.
As a Hospitalist, you will be responsible for managing patient care in a hospital setting, ensuring high-quality treatment and support for patients with a variety of medical conditions. This role is critical in optimizing patient outcomes and enhancing the efficiency of the hospital's services.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists to ensure optimal care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about health management
- Participate in patient care rounds and case discussions
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Adhere to hospital policies and best practices in patient safety
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in Internal Medicine or relevant clinical experience
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and environments
Schedule: 24-hour shifts (8 hours onsite)
Facility: Long-term acute care hospital
Duties: Rounding, admitting, and discharging
Must be board-certified
