As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. You will collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans and optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to hospitalized patients with various medical conditions
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient management
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans
• Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Current medical license to practice in the state of Minnesota
• 1-3 years of experience in Internal Medicine or hospitalist practice
• Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications

Schedule: 6p-6a

Volume: 0-3 admissions, 0-3 rehab and psych consults per night

Open 5-bed ICU

No procedures required

Must be board-certified
