In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, managing a diverse range of medical conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Your expertise in internal medicine will be critical as you contribute to our mission of providing exceptional medical services and support to our patients.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Perform assessments, diagnostics, and treatment plans for internal medicine cases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
  • Manage patient admissions, discharges, and follow-up care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Participate in medical rounds and contribute to case discussions
  • Educate patients and their families about health management and preventive care
  • Stay current with advancements in internal medicine and hospitalist practices

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
  • Experience in internal medicine or hospitalist settings preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
  • Basic proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems

Shifts: 7p-7a

Schedule: Minimum of 1 week stretches

No call requirement

Shifts available at multiple hospitals

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
