This contract, on-site position provides an excellent opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in patient care.

As a Locum Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality healthcare services, managing patient care in a collaborative environment, and ensuring positive health outcomes. This role is essential for supporting our hospital's operational needs and enhances the overall patient experience. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
• Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing and medical staff to ensure quality care
• Participate in daily rounds and patient care discussions
• Adhere to best practices and hospital protocols
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families
• Document patient care and progress in medical records
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Ohio
• Previous experience in Internal Medicine or as a Hospitalist preferred
• Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required

Schedule: 7p-7a, 7 on/7 off

Patient Census: 8 per night

Duties: Rounding, admissions, rapid responses, teaching residents, and handling issues on the floor

No procedures required

Support Staff: Residents

EMR: Meditech

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
