 This on-site, contract position offers an exceptional opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative hospital environment.

As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing and treating patients in the hospital, ensuring their health needs are met efficiently and effectively. This position allows you to work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals and make a significant impact on patient outcomes. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records
  • Participate in hospital rounds and communicate with patients and families
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and hospital protocols
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state of practice
  • Experience in Internal Medicine preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
  • Basic knowledge of electronic medical record systems

Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a

No call requirement

57 beds

Daily Census: 18 patients, ~4 admissions/consults per provider

Mixed acuity patient population

Will round in the open ICU

Vent management required

Specialty Support Staff: Critical care, cardiology, surgery, orthopedics, urology, nephrology, tele-ID, tele-psych, and tele-neurology

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
