In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring the health and safety of both mothers and newborns. You'll work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals to deliver exceptional medical services while adhering to best practices and hospital protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery
  • Perform assessments, diagnoses, and medical procedures as needed
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patient progress and respond to complications
  • Educate patients and families about labor and delivery processes
  • Ensure compliance with medical regulations and standards
  • Document all patient interactions and care provided
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Indiana
  • Board certification in Ob/Gyn or eligibility
  • Experience in labor and delivery settings
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Commitment to patient-centered care

Schedule: 12 or 24-hour in-house call shifts

Annual Volume: 1,800 deliveries

Support Staff: CNMs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
