 This contract position requires an on-site presence, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with patients and colleagues in a fast-paced medical practice environment.

As a Laborist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of mothers and their newborns during labor and delivery. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of providing exceptional care in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients during labor and delivery
• Manage obstetrical emergencies and complications
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans
• Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
• Educate patients and families on labor and delivery processes
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Prior experience in labor and delivery settings is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Flexibility to work various shifts and on-call as needed

Schedule: 12 or 24-hour in-house call shifts

Annual Volume: 1,800 deliveries

Support Staff: CNMs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
