As a Locum Nephrologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating kidney-related diseases, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, and collaborating with our dedicated healthcare team. This role is vital for ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care, and you will be involved in innovative treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with kidney-related issues
- Diagnose and manage various nephrologic conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment options
- Teach and mentor other medical staff regarding nephrology best practices
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training sessions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in nephrology or related specialty preferred
- Strong understanding of renal diseases and treatments
- Excellent diagnostic and patient management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Schedule: Flexible scheduling options, specific dates
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics
Monthly Clinic Volume: 100-120 patients
Monthly Dialysis Volume: ~90-100 patients
Duties: Clinic and dialysis coverage
Support Staff: MA, LPN/LVN, NP/PA
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
BLS & DEA preferred
