Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans
  • Perform surgical procedures related to neurosurgery
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in neurosurgery
  • Participate in peer reviews and continuous medical education
  • Adhere to all hospital protocols and regulations

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Associate-level experience in neurosurgery
  • Board certification in Neurosurgery is preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
  • Current medical licensure to practice in Nebraska

Level I Trauma

Schedule: 24-hour primary or backup call (7a-7a), specific dates

Patient Volume: 10 ICU patients, 7 admissions

Duties: Trauma call, new consults, and hospital rounding

Required Procedures: Back and spine trauma

Support Staff: APPs and additional surgeons

EMR: Epic and Tiger Connect

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
