Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Perform surgical procedures related to neurosurgery
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in neurosurgery
- Participate in peer reviews and continuous medical education
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and regulations
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Associate-level experience in neurosurgery
- Board certification in Neurosurgery is preferred
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Current medical licensure to practice in Nebraska
Level I Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour primary or backup call (7a-7a), specific dates
Patient Volume: 10 ICU patients, 7 admissions
Duties: Trauma call, new consults, and hospital rounding
Required Procedures: Back and spine trauma
Support Staff: APPs and additional surgeons
EMR: Epic and Tiger Connect
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
