In this role, you will work with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality obstetric and gynecological services. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering compassionate care, performing necessary procedures, and ensuring the wellbeing of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
- Perform routine examinations, diagnostic tests, and procedures
- Manage pregnancies and deliver high-quality prenatal care
- Evaluate and treat a variety of women's health issues
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
- Document patient interactions in accordance with medical standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current and valid medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to provide patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuing professional development and education
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Setting: Inpatient
Average Daily Volume: 50 patients
Average Daily Admissions: 10 per day, 5 per night
Average Monthly Surgical Cases: 10 per surgeon
Duties: ED consults, GYN service, emergent GYN surgeries, and labor and delivery
Procedures Required: Cesarean delivery, D&C (obstetric and gynecologic), diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, urgent and emergent gynecologic cases
Team Structure: 27 MDs, 9 APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
