As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care during nighttime hours. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
- Perform deliveries and assist in surgical procedures as needed
- Conduct patient consultations and assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality care
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate care
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work night shifts as required
- Prior experience in a locum or similar role is preferred
Schedule: 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week (weeknights and weekends)
Call Requirement: 3 shifts per week
Setting: 100% inpatient
Annual Volume: ~1,200 deliveries
Support Staff: OB/GYN physician, CNM, and PA
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
