This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a collaborative environment while making a significant impact on the health and wellbeing of the community.

As a Locum Ophthalmologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, conducting examinations, and performing surgical procedures as needed. You will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient satisfaction. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments
  • Diagnose and treat a range of ocular conditions
  • Perform surgical procedures when necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
  • Provide patient education on eye health and treatment options
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in ophthalmology
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology preferred
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of ophthalmic practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong commitment to patient care and advocacy
  • Flexible availability for contract assignments

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Daily Census: 12 patients

Must be board-certified
