In this role, you will be responsible for providing top-tier orthopedic surgical care and consultation to patients. Responsibilities
- Perform orthopedic surgeries and procedures with precision and care
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress post-surgery
- Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions and treatments
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of New York
- Completion of an accredited residency in Orthopedic Surgery
- Experience in orthopedic surgical procedures (Associate level)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred
- Level II Trauma
Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 3-5 or 5-10 consecutive shifts
Annual Volume: 500 cases
No pelvic cases
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
