As a Locum Otolaryngologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of ear, nose, and throat conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with ENT conditions
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various otolaryngological disorders
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, adhering to best practices and safety protocols
- Consult with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients
- Educate patients and their families on treatment options and preventive care
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in otolaryngology
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Maryland
- Board certification in Otolaryngology preferred
- Experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Schedule: 8a-5p, Monday-Friday
ED beeper call shifts required
Patient Volume: 15-18 per day
Bread & butter ENT
Can do elective surgeries
Support Staff: 2 additional ENTs, 1 PA
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
