As a Locum Otolaryngologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat. You will collaborate closely with our healthcare staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care while addressing various medical needs. This role will allow you to make a significant impact on the health and well-being of our community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive examinations and assessments of patients with ENT-related issues
- Diagnose and develop treatment plans for a variety of conditions
- Perform surgical procedures as necessary and appropriate
- Collaborate with allied health professionals to provide coordinated patient care
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with medical regulations
- Provide education and resources to patients regarding their conditions
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education activities to enhance skills
- Support the community's health initiatives and outreach programs
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license to practice in the relevant state
- Board certification in Otolaryngology is preferred
- Prior clinical experience as an Otolaryngologist, preferably in a locum capacity
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, specific dates
Setting: Inpatient
Daily Volume: 1-2 callbacks
Team Structure: 2 MDs, 1 NP
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Additional Qualifications: DEA, BLS, ACLS
