As a Locum Pathologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing diseases and providing critical insights that guide treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of pathology specimens
- Diagnose diseases based on laboratory and clinical findings
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and treatment options
- Ensure compliance with medical standards and regulations
- Provide expert consultations to other medical staff as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Stay abreast of advancements in pathology and related medical fields
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Pathology or eligibility for certification
- 1-3 years of clinical experience in pathology (Associate level)
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems is a plus
