In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality pediatric care to a diverse patient population. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure that our young patients receive comprehensive and compassionate medical attention.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Administer vaccinations and preventive care
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio
- Previous experience in pediatric care preferred
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts (7a-7a), 10 days per month
Annual Volume: ~290 births
Duties: Initial newborn assessment, review hearing tests, review blood results
Support Staff: RN, CRNA, MDA
EMR: Meditech
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
