This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality pediatric care in a supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum Pediatrician, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and comprehensive healthcare services to children. This position is ideal for those looking to gain diverse experience while contributing to the well-being of young patients. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions affecting children
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health concerns
• Provide preventive care and health education to patients
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Stay updated with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Florida
• Experience in pediatric care (preferred for locum positions)
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

Schedule: 7a-5p, 7a-7p, or 5p-7a

No call requirement

26-bed PICU

Patient Volume: 16 per day

Required Procedures: Standard ICU procedures and ECMO

Team Structure: 2 MDs during the day, 1 MD at night, APPs

Must be board-certified
