This contract position is an on-site role that offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional pediatric care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

As a Locum Pediatrician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to children in our community. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, addressing both routine and complex pediatric health issues. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to patient-centered care and enhancing the overall health of our young patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients
  • Perform routine check-ups and preventive care
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Administer vaccinations and other preventive measures
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure health education
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
  • Stay updated on the latest pediatric medical practices and guidelines

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in pediatric medicine (Associate level)
  • Strong clinical skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is a plus

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 7a-7a

Setting: Inpatient only, 8-bed Level I Nursery

Patient Volume: 1.5 per day, 30 per month

Duties: Newborn care

Required Procedures: Circumcision and PALS

Support Staff: Lab tech, X-ray tech, and RN

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
