This is a contract position that offers an on-site working mode, providing an essential opportunity to deliver mental health services in a supportive environment.
As a Locum Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing mental health conditions for our patients. You will work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and contribute positively to the local community's mental health initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with mental health concerns
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately
- Participate in case reviews and team meetings
- Stay current with best practices in psychiatry and mental health
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry
- Active medical license in the state of Massachusetts
- Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Experience in psychiatric settings is preferred

No call requirement
Setting: 22-bed inpatient geripsych unit
Daily Volume: Up to 8 per day
Patient Population: Adult and Geriatrics
Average Length of Stay: 14-15 days
Support Staff: 3 psychiatrists
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
