As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy to patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact the treatment and recovery of patients facing cancer, ensuring they receive the best care possible.
Responsibilities
- Provide radiation oncology services to patients under your care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Conduct patient consultations and follow-up assessments
- Collaborate with medical professionals in developing comprehensive care strategies
- Utilize advanced radiation techniques and technologies
- Document patient information and treatment progress accurately
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and procedures
- Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education opportunities
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
- Experience in radiation therapy and oncology care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient care excellence
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
No call requirement
Patient Census: 15-18 per day
Procedures Required: IMRT, SBRT, IGRT
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
