As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality radiation therapy to patients, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will directly impact the treatment and recovery of patients facing cancer, ensuring they receive the best care possible. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiation oncology services to patients under your care
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct patient consultations and follow-up assessments
  • Collaborate with medical professionals in developing comprehensive care strategies
  • Utilize advanced radiation techniques and technologies
  • Document patient information and treatment progress accurately
  • Educate patients and their families about treatment options and procedures
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education opportunities

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Radiation Oncology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
  • Experience in radiation therapy and oncology care
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient care excellence
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems is preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call requirement

Patient Census: 15-18 per day

Procedures Required: IMRT, SBRT, IGRT

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
