As a Locum Radiation Oncologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality radiation therapy and care to patients. This position involves collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that treatment plans are tailored to meet each patient's needs. You will be instrumental in delivering advanced radiation oncology services that align with the latest industry standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients requiring radiation oncology services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Administer radiation therapy in accordance with established protocols
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulations
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Radiation Oncology is preferred
- Valid state medical license to practice in New Jersey
- Experience in radiation oncology (Associate level)
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 8a-3p or 8a-4p, sporadic coverage
Call shifts possible
Daily Census: 20 patients
Equipment: GE CT simulator, Varian TrueBeam, and onsite dosimetry and physics
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
