As a Locum Radiologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients using advanced imaging techniques. Responsibilities
- Conduct radiological examinations and interpret imaging results
- Provide accurate diagnoses and treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and techniques
- Participate in case reviews and clinical discussions
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards in imaging practices
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding procedures and results
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license to practice in the state of New York
- Board certification in Radiology
- Experience in performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging studies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: Occasional 9-hour day shifts
Daily Volume: 12-17 cases
Case Types: Light IR procedures
Required Procedures: CT and USG biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, milligrams, drain and chest tube insertions, nephrostomies, fluoro, and embolization procedures
Board certification required
