As a Locum Rheumatologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our client facilities. You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, ensuring that patients receive the best possible treatment for their rheumatologic conditions. This role not only allows you to utilize your medical expertise but also to gain valuable experience in diverse clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for patients with rheumatologic disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
- Conduct patient consultations and follow-up appointments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Stay informed on the latest advancements in rheumatology
- Educate patients and their families about rheumatic conditions and treatment options
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the practice
- Adhere to all regulatory and compliance guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Board certification in Rheumatology or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 8-hour weekday shifts
Overnight and weekend beeper call required
Setting: 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient
Daily Volume: 10-12 outpatients, 0-2 inpatient consults
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
