As a Locum Surgical Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with various types of cancers. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes and you will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of our practice and advancing our commitment to comprehensive cancer treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with cancer
  • Perform surgical procedures related to oncology
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
  • Provide patient education on treatment options and procedures
  • Monitor and manage post-operative care and recovery
  • Participate in tumor board meetings and case discussions
  • Stay current with advancements in surgical oncology techniques and practices

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license in the state of Georgia
  • Board certification in Surgical Oncology is preferred
  • Experience in surgical oncology, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Strong surgical skills and proficiency in oncology procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence

Flexible schedule

Daily Volume: 20+ patients

Required Cases: Surgical oncology/HPB surgery

Support Staff: Additional MDs and APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
