As a Locum MD in Emergency Medicine, you will play a crucial role in managing acute medical conditions, providing timely interventions, and working collaboratively with a dedicated healthcare team. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality emergency care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with acute medical conditions in the emergency department
• Provide immediate medical attention and emergency interventions
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as necessary
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
• Adhere to hospital protocols and best practices in emergency care

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
• Current board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
• Commitment to providing quality patient care
• Experience in a fast-paced emergency medicine environment preferred
• Shifts available at multiple facilities

Schedule: 9 or 12-hour day, night, or swing shifts

No call required

Annual Patient Volume: 11,120-52,000 based on facility

Support Staff: APPs at most facilities

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
