As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in our Emergency Medicine department, responding to a variety of urgent medical issues and overseeing patient treatment protocols. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical care, while also having the chance to contribute to clinical procedures and initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
• Assess and manage patient conditions in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
• Document patient history and treatment plans accurately
• Supervise and train junior medical staff as necessary
• Conduct examinations and diagnostic tests
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees
• Adhere to all medical protocols and regulations

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in Emergency Medicine (Associate level preferred)
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Keen observational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Commitment to professional development and continuing education

Schedule: 12-hour shifts

Annual Volume: 80k patients

Support Staff: APPs, potentially another MD

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
