This contract position is on-site and offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality medical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.
As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional medical services to the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other physicians
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for patient care
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical practices and advancements in emergency medicine
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p
Annual Volume: 15k patients
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
