This contract position is on-site and offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality medical care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients in emergency situations, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional medical services to the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other physicians
• Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and treatment
• Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for patient care
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical practices and advancements in emergency medicine

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• Experience in emergency medicine preferred
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and safety
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p

Annual Volume: 15k patients

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
