We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Endocrinology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the field of endocrinology. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare projects. Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients with endocrine disorders.
- Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans based on diagnosis and medical history.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to aid in the diagnosis of endocrine conditions.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Provide patient education on managing endocrine disorders and promoting overall health.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid MD license.
- Specialization in Endocrinology with relevant board certification.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of endocrine disorders.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make sound clinical decisions.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in endocrinology practice.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4p
Overnight call (4:30p-7a) and weekend call (7a-7a) required, 11 days per month
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Daily Volume: 10-15 per shift
Endocrinology and diabetes cases
Support Staff: MA, LPN
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
