As a Locum MD, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical care to patients, ensuring high standards of practice and patient safety. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of connecting healthcare providers with the communities they serve. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in a family medicine setting
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide appropriate interventions
- Stay updated on medical best practices and guidelines
- Educate patients and families on health management and disease prevention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state
- Prior experience in family medicine preferred
- Strong clinical skills and patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
Schedule: 4 to 5-hour shifts, 7 days per week
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Volume: 20 per day
Patient Population: Ages 5-17
Average Length of Stay: 11.5 days
Current Team: 3 Internal Medicine MDs, 1 Family Medicine MD, 2 Cardiologists, 1 Radiologist
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
