As a Locum MD in Gastroenterology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and managing various gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal conditions
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health
• Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
• Associate level experience in Gastroenterology or a related field
• Proficiency in performing gastroenterological procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday

No call requirement

Shifts available at multiple facilities

Patient Census: 14-16 per day

Required procedures: Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
