This contract position is an exciting opportunity for an associate-level medical professional to contribute to our patient care efforts in a dynamic on-site environment.

As a Locum MD specializing in Gastroenterology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders while providing exceptional care to our patients. You will collaborate with our dedicated medical team to ensure the highest standards of practice and patient satisfaction. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
• Diagnose and treat various gastrointestinal conditions
• Perform endoscopic procedures as required
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
• Educate patients and their families about gastrointestinal health
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Gastroenterology preferred
• Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
• Experience in a clinical setting as an associate-level physician
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule: Weekend call from Friday 5p-Monday 7a, specific dates

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Procedure Volume: ~8 per weekend

Required Procedures: Esophageal dilation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, biopsies, lower and upper GI endoscopies, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy, Sengstaken/Blakemore Tubes, EUS, etc.

Lab and X-ray onsite

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
