We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in General Surgery  As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients, ensuring continuity of care and high-quality patient outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of surgical cases, gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform surgical procedures in accordance with established guidelines and protocols.
• Evaluate and manage pre-operative and post-operative patients.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
• Adhere to all relevant medical standards, regulations, and ethical practices.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding surgical procedures and recovery.
• Conduct rounds and follow-ups to monitor patient progress and address any concerns.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid medical license to practice as a General Surgeon.
• Strong surgical skills and knowledge of current surgical techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
• Willingness to adapt to different clinical environments and patient populations.

Schedule: Call shifts from Thursday 7a-Monday 7a or Friday 7a-Monday 7a

Level IV trauma

Daily Volume: 5 patients

Duties: Rounding, ER call, and consults

Required Procedures: Upper and lower scopes, endoscopies, EGD

Support Staff: RNs, ER team

EMR: Meditech and WebAmbulatory

Must be board-certified
