This contract position is on-site and offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care for newborns in a dynamic and supportive environment.

As a Locum MD in Neonatology, you will play a critical role in the health and well-being of our youngest patients, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Your expertise will be essential in delivering specialized medical care, ensuring that every newborn receives the best possible start in life. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates in a hospital setting
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of newborns
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
• Monitor and manage neonatal patients' progress and health outcomes
• Educate and support families regarding neonatal care
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions
• Stay updated on best practices in neonatology and pediatric care

Requirements

• MD or equivalent medical degree with specialization in Neonatology
• Active medical license in the state of practice
• 3+ years of clinical experience in neonatology or related field
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts, specific dates

No call requirement

Level I Trauma Center

Patient Census: 10 per shift

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
