This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced medical practice environment.
As a Locum Nephrologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with kidney-related conditions. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, focusing on improving patient outcomes and managing chronic kidney disease effectively.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with nephrological conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Manage acute and chronic kidney disease cases
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Educate patients and families on kidney health and disease management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in case discussions and contribute to team meetings
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) and valid medical license
- Experience in nephrology preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to high-quality patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
Schedule 10-hour shifts, 7 on/7 off
After-hours beeper call required
Setting: Inpatient only
Patient Volume: 20-30 per shift
Cases: Biopsies, Aquadex/hemo-dialysis, support IR during procedures, DTUP/IP infusion, and after-hours dialysis
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
