Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with neurological conditions
  • Diagnose and create treatment plans for various neurological disorders
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Perform procedures related to neurology as necessary
  • Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in neurology
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to patient management strategies
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families

Requirements

  • MD degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Specialization in Neurology with relevant training or experience
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of neurological disorders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus

 

Schedule: 7a-7p weekday or weekend shifts

Setting: Inpatient (ICU, step-down, med-surg)

Daily Volume: 4-5 consults, 10-15 rounds

No EEGs required

Stroke background required

Support Staff: Additional MD, APP, full nursing staff, stroke manager, stroke coordinators

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified
