This on-site, contract position provides an excellent opportunity for an associate-level physician to make a meaningful impact in women's health through comprehensive patient care and innovative medical practices.
As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality obstetric and gynecological services. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes and contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare in the community. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Ob/Gyn care to patients, including routine check-ups and emergency procedures
- Conduct prenatal exams and monitor patient progress throughout pregnancy
- Perform gynecological surgeries and procedures as needed
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to clinical discussions
- Stay updated on medical advancements and emerging practices in Ob/Gyn
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Board certification in Ob/Gyn preferred but not mandatory
- Strong clinical skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Prior experience in an Ob/Gyn role is advantageous but not required
Schedule: 24-hour shifts
Daily Volume: 3 deliveries
Annual Deliveries: 2,000
Facility: Level III NICU, Level III Perinatal Center, Level II Trauma Center
Support Staff: CNM, on-call OB
Board-certification required
