Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients
- Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as required
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in case discussions and patient management meetings
- Stay updated with the latest medical practices and technologies
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Ob/Gyn is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Active medical license in the state of Iowa
Schedule: 24-hour in-house call shifts, 7a-7a
Setting: 8-bed OBED
Annual Volume: ~1,390 OBED visits, ~460 deliveries
Duties: OBED visits, emergent deliveries, and patients without a primary OB/GYN; no GYN duties
Support Staff: MFM on call, residents
Imaging, lab, and pharmacy onsite
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
