We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in Pediatrics. As a Locum MD, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services in the field of pediatrics. Responsibilities:

• Provide medical care to pediatric patients in various settings.
• Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions in children.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
• Participate in rounds, case conferences, and other team meetings.
• Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices.

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Pediatrics.
• Valid state medical license.
• Proven experience working as a Pediatrician.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Level I nursery

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call (8a-8a), specific dates

Annual Volume: ~600 deliveries

Daily Volume: 3-5 patients

Duties: Emergent care and stabilization of ill newborns of any viable gestational age and routine care of healthy newborns

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
