As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with various mental health conditions. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in case conferences and clinical meetings
- Stay informed about advancements in psychiatric practices and treatments
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards
Requirements
- MD degree with specialization in Psychiatry
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Alabama
- Experience in psychiatric evaluations and treatment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and confidentiality
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Flexibility to adapt to various patient needs and treatment protocols
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Call shifts required
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Duties: Diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, etc.
Any active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory accepted
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
