As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients, while also contributing to the overall improvement of our psychiatric services. This role is ideal for an associate-level physician looking to enhance their expertise in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
- Provide ongoing psychotherapy and medication management
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in team meetings and case discussions
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
- Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
Call shifts required
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Duties: Diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, etc.
EMR: CPRS
Any active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory accepted
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
